Project Management

The project has developed a governance structure to oversee the successful implementation of all projects components and to ensure accountability by all stakeholders. Headed by the Project Manager, the Project Management Unit, (PMU) is a critical component of the PSCEDP as it provides the overall fiduciary responsibilities to ensure the full implementation of all the project components.

In particular, PMU oversees day-to-day activities that includes, but not limited to financial management, procurement, monitoring and evaluation as well as the coordination of all the implementing agencies.

PMU reports to the Project Steering Committee (PSC) that draws its membership from the representatives of all implementing government ministries and agencies. The committee meets every quarter to monitor the implementation progress of the project and help to resolve technical and implementation problems affecting project progress. The meetings are chaired by the Principal Secretary of MTICM.
